Well, for the bank I found it relatively straight forward

I researched my market quite thoroughly and put in loads of facts and figures.

I showed why I was going to be successful and the things I was going to do better than my local competitors

Then I produced detailed financials to show where I was going and when I was going to be profitable and not be too optimistic (if I beat these then I am happy)

Bank was nice and gave some good advice

Business Plan Express? - 21-10-2004, 04:26 PM

Where can I get hold of this?

I am a freelance web designer, though I think its time to expand a bit...

I have a selection of resources, contacts which I wish to harness, bring together in a virtual environment to form the basis of a web based media company.

I think that it is high time I put these ideas on to paper and get a plan together. With the points above on board, where do I start, what style or approach should I be using? Should this be only for me to follow, or a shining example that I could take to the bank should I need a loan?

sometimes it just seems too much...

For what you want cant you consider something more like the prices trust for what you want? I have been to see them and they gave me the address of a government run agency that helps people out that are wanting to start.

They helped us put together a business plan, details of clients that we can buy from next meeting is today @ 1pm to review what we have got on our competitors. The princes trust is meant to be a good source for finance, they charge like 2-3% interest and thats only on 60% of what we lend so....

We are also getting money for market research on the same pay back basis.

Hi Carolb

You are read my 10 steps to start your home business. It is too long to extract and place it here. Although i have written for Singapore Business, the steps are basically about the same. You can also browse "why work at home Singapore" and this may also give you further business ideas...

All the best to you in your new venture.
