Where is the best place to sell off stock from my businesses?

I have a baby clothing/gift box website that also sells toys which I want to completely close down as I need the space and the other site I have sells fashion jewellery that I want to get rid of as I want to concentrate on designing my own items and doing handcrafted jewellery rather than commercially bought items.

I thought about Ebay but I wouldn't make back what I paid for the items judging by what people are selling for and then there are the fees on top. Many years ago I tried selling some clothing at a car boot sale but nobody was interested, so that is out. Any other ideas?

Ideally my target audience would be to offer to people who are starting out selling baby clothing/toys but who perhaps don't want to have a minimum spend like I did at the beginning.

Why not use the website to sell of the items? A big 'closing down sale' will probably do the trick.

On the other hand, if you are struggling to sell the items through the website then maybe you are going to have to bite the bullet and sell at a loss. You have already indicated that the items sell for less on ebay so what incentive is there for me to pay your prices.

Afterthought: why not sell the business complete with website?
