Business Bank Account with Adverse Credit -
01-02-2007, 12:16 PM
I am a newbie
I have recently applied for a business bank account at Nat West and have been turned down as I have adverse credit history. It will probably be the same with all the banks and I am worried that if I continue to apply for an account with each bank and get turned down my credit history is going to look worse than ever. Can anyone please advise me what to do next I need an account as soon as possible. |

There are various companies that claim to offer bank accounts to people with adverse credit - try Googling for "Guaranteed Bank Account" - These places do charge an "arrangement fee" though (probably a few hundred pounds).
Which business account did you apply for at Natwest - did you know that they do 2? The first one is the one you get when you go into the branch and apply and the other is an "online" business account - which I have been told is less restrictive in these matters... Feel free to contact me with any website issues. |

I applied for one on the nat west website, it gives you a form to complete and then they contact you whether you have been successful or not. When I got to the end of the completion stage it sort of went off and never said anything. I then rung the number it gave you and they said that it had probably not been sent so they took a telephone application and they said same they would let me know. I was refused and this was not for business banking with a bank manager etc.
Is there an online internet banking as that might be better for me. If so do you know the link or website address, if you do can you put the link on here so I can apply. I dont think I will get one but its worth applying. I went into Lloyds TSB and they refused me aswell. |

DO you absolutly need one?
Can you just set up a normal personal account to use solely with your business and trade well for 6 months and then go back to the bank manager and im sure they will give you a bus account then? |

I did want a streamline credit/debit card facility but I dont think I will manage to get one. You do need a business account.
I have completed a RBS business bank account in as I bank with them. If they wont give me one then nobody will. I will have to wait and see what happens. |
