Company pension contributions -

Can anyone tell me what happens to company contributions paid into a defined contribution scheme for an employee when the employee elects to receive a refund of his contributions with less than 2 years service completed?

Can anyone help?
I specifically want to know if they are normally returned to the company with tax deducted or other charges or fees? In other words, does the company get back what they paid in, or a little less, or not at all?
