Desperate to raise 8K - 06-01-2005, 11:22 PM

I am still desperate to raise the £8,000 I need to start my business so if anyone has any idea how to raise 8k I would love to hear from them.
The Bank's and loan company's have all turned me down but it is a business that work's it's just I need to get the money to start it before someone else jump's on it witch is likely to happen as the local business doing it already is going down hill so fast it is not going to be long before someone else think's about doing it. B.T.W the business that is already going down hill is because the owner has upset all his regular costumers and has the wrong attitude for the job and it's not that he can't make money he could of but has blown his chance's.
So if anyone has any ideas please I am desperate

Jason

There may be other ways to look at this.

For the loan amount.
- can you reduce the requirement at all?
- can you pay in installments?
- can the company providing the service offer credit terms?
- can you pay by credit card then transfer it to 0%
- some 0% credit cards allow you to pay bank overdrafts also

To get cash
- can you sell some stuff on ebay ?
- can you do part time work or other jobs to bring in extra cash ?

Let us know how you get on

No still not having any luck Thank's Peter for the suggestion of getting another job but I do 65 hours a week as it is I just have a really badly paid job. I just got turned down by another bank today. I think I need to find a bank worker that has the same interest as me witch an't easy. I have just got an account with the biggest suppler in the world in the business I am trying to get in to but I can't even get that through to the people in the bank's they just an't interested when I tell them what I am trying to do.
I have now gone down to 5k but that is as low as I can possably go as that is now me making my own fixtures and fittings.
I don't know what has happened as I got a credit report from Ex? what ever it's called and I just have a low score no ccj's or anything. I am trying to get some credit cards to get my score up but not heard back from any yet. I will let you know how it go's.
