Hi,
I have just set up my own business a cake shop in Brighton which has been open and running for 2 months. I have one member of staff. I am looking for a firm to handle my accounts and I have no idea where to start! I found this firm through google: http://www.taxassist.co.uk/ and they say that they specialise in small business accounts but I just wondered if you knew whether they were any good and whether there was anyone you could recommend? Thanks Laura |

Tax Assist have a representative who posts on this very forum, so they're probably better placed than anyone to offer advice
![]() Failing that, there are a couple of accountants doted around the place and a quick look through some finance-related posts will lead you straight to them. |

Hey all,
I just wanted to say that its nearly 6 months since I realised my accounts were in a complete mess and in that 6 months I've sorted everything out and am back on the straight and narrow!! I just wanted to say to anyone else who is looking for an accountant - Tax Assist were brilliant and helped me no end with getting all my figures in order. They specialise in small business so I would definately recommend them to anyone else with a set up like mine. Thanks Laura PS - I am also looking for a webdesinger as I was thinking of setting up a small website, if anyone knows anyone who is good and reasonably priced pleased let me know! |

This will depend on what you want. A simple 3-5 page site could be as cheap as £150-£300. Do you need ecommerce? Will you need contact forms? Do you need logo designs as well? However, cheap is not always good. Tak ea look at some of the members offers on here. Also read their posts to see how helpfull they are. Mike. |

I think that you should definately look in to more accountants and see which one would personally fit to you. There are so many out there just to get an some extra profit from you. Make sure to look at the full description because they like sticking in extra fees in the small print. Just so you know what is out there this site has various options available
http://uk.moneto.eu/financing/ or for specific business accounting firms you could look at this one who claims to have good rates and I have seen good reviews about them, but I do not know anyone personally that has used it for their business. http://www.totalbusinessaccount.co.u...FXBBNKBB060001 However if you are a smaller, independent business I would look into those specifically cator to them. I have a buddy that just started up a small ebusiness in london and he thought AIMS was the best route to go. http://www.aims.co.uk/ Those are just a few options but it is always a tricky process! Hope this helps! |
