The Endowment Claims Crisis

I recently found out that my endowment mortgage had a huge shortfall. I decided to look into this and found this site [url]http://www.endowment-claims-uk.co.uk[/RL] . Has anyone used this company or can a good alternative be suggested.

The domain was only registered less than a month so you have done very well to find the site

In general I would always advocate not dealing with financial companies that don't publish their full name and address as you are never quite sure who you are dealing with but five minutes detective works showed that Financial Reclaims Company of PO Box 26784, Glasgow G1 32D is really Red Mosquito Limited who's registered office is 216 West George Street, Glasgow G2 2PQ but who also seem to trade from Campsie Softnet Centre, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow G66 1XQ.


I don't know why they are being so coy about their real name or address. Perhaps they have something to hide.

good detective work for both of you - wow, and finding a site that fast is really impressive w/out advertising. Perhaps some of those trading addresses also own other websites...now there's a thought

The site is hosted by the company Red Mosquito but they are obviously not a Financial Services company dealing with endowment claims.

Anyone can do a WHOIS on a domain name - understanding the data is another matter.

My post was supposed to be sarcastic as it is fairly common for people to register here to tell us about some wonderful new site that they have just happened to come across when in fact it's there own site that they are pimping.

Hi Delboyz,
Did you have any luck with the endowment claims website?? I had a similar problem, although I dealt with a different company to get compensation. After speaking to my IFA regarding my endowment they also advised a different method of paying off my mortgage - and to sell my endowment instead.

Just had a quote back from a firm called policy trader who seemed to be offering a decent amount for my policy (compared to the surrender value). Did you investigate selling your policy and if so could you suggest anyone else to get a comparative quote from?

tommy - thank you for resurrecting this thread after 11 months however I have deleted the link in your post as I am not keen on websites that don't quote an address.

If you are looking for a company that deals in this sort of transaction Google will come up with loads for you with sellingendowment.com being near the top of the pile - and they quote an address on their site too
