I think that an unsecured loan for a 19 year old is nigh on impossible but you might try Princes Trust

I am sure there are options out there. The higher the risk - the higher the % any lender would be looking for though.
If you think you have a good idea and a robust business plan, go and talk to your local bank, you never know where that might lead. Good luck |

The business plan theory is, sadly, just that - a theory.
In reality no bank is even likely to consider you for a loan, unless by some great stroke of good fortune you have security in the shape of a property. Even if a bank were to consider your application, it's becoming increasingly hard to find business account managers who know what they're doing (though that may just be in my local area). I applied for a business account at the Nuneaton branch of Lloyds TSB a few months ago, had my account opened whilst I waited and was asked to leave a copy of my business plan and come back in a week to discuss financing. When I returned a week later my appointment was delayed without notice, and when I finally saw my 'account manager' he said that he hadn't really read the plan and what he had read he didn't understand, because he knew practically nothing about the internet and technology. What sort of account manager fails to read the business plan, and hence won't consider financing, and claims to know absolutely nothing about the very foundation of business today? Of course I complained to his manager, but as is generally the case with these sorts of organisations nothing was done and they suggested I go elsewhere! That's LLOYDS TSB in NUNEATON folks. Whatever you do, don't ask for LUIS. |
