Free Payroll Software

Hi

Can anybody suggest a free payroll software, just to do the basic thing like process the pay n e-file the returns, and tht doesnt allow ne initial installation of a s/w... i hav found a couple of them.. can anybody suggest a s/w tht u hav used?? thts free and for abt 5-10employees...

I had to let go of an employee 2 weeks ago, but finding a replacement has proven difficult. I made the difficult decision to allow him to come back for 2 nights’s only to help us out. Can I pay him for contract work or is this a lawsuit waiting to happen? Do I need to rehire him back to the payroll and then hire him again? Any helpful suggestion will appreciate.
