General question about additional markets

Hello.

My question is very general and I'm not sure that there is only one answer to it but I will still try. I was wondering what do you think about trading forex in addition to stocks, funds and more.

Do you think that it's better to stick with only one field or to try different markets once in a while. Do you think that a good basic stock trading knowledge is good enough for a very basic but live forex trading account?
or that even Professional Stock traders should take a few forex courses before they invest any amount of money in this market?

My husband is a forex trader he deals in all pairs like gbp/usd ect he has told me lots on how to trade and follow charts but all over my head he works from home which is good and the amounts he makes is just silly so i know it can be good but i think it takes a lot of learning and time to become good and he is always going on about watching the indicators maybe you should chat with him?
