Afternoon everyone,
I have an interesting idea available,. Coming from England, I am just about to open a football academy in East London, South Africa.
This is a big city in South Africa yet there is no football team in the top 2 divisions in South Africa. The next big teams are in the third division and with the facilities and population this city really should have a top side in the Premier League.
The academy here is the first of it's kind expected to coach 250+ children on a full time basis which starts next month. The best players will represent their age group covering 5 age levels. There will be income from the academy which is going to be marketed on a major scale. We had the ebbsfleet buy a club idea, well this one is even more lucrative. We need a first team to be the pinnacle of the club and instead of starting at the bottom we can get one in the third division (2 below the Premier) for no more than £15,000.
I have had a meeting today with an official at one of the clubs and the feedback i have got is that it is a tough league to get out of but when you get into the top 2 leagues you get great money and sponsors.
With the World Cup coming to South Africa next year there is going to be a boom in football here. Even more appealing is that football clubs here are not that well run, and should someone be interested in investing we could easily implement the English way of running a club and get them into the Premier League. .
Believe it or not the ground we can use for the home ground seats 25,000 people and is available for only R250 thats £16 per match. It is called the Jan Smuts stadium.
Theres a huge gap in the market, with a well run, organised club and the rewards of being the biggest football club in East London, South Africa and future promotions are huge.
It's just a matter of buying a club in the 2nd division, Vodacom League and creating a tidy set-up, of course it is not easy but it's an opportunity to expand on the academy we have in place.
I am already involved in the football industry in England.
If anyone is interested please message me, thankyou
Patrick
