Internet banking

I work for a small consultancy firm that looks at the internet banking service offered offered for small businesses.
I would greatly value your opinion on their services, both good and bad points. So feel free to vent your anger at the big high charging banks , or even sing their praises

I don't like the fact that you can't put money in the account via the cashier, you have to post it off (only on some bank acounts).

fair enough. Are there any online specific services you would like your bank to offer?

some sort of merchant account set up on my current bank account would be good to allow online selling. Also ability to set up direct debits and a online help forum with questions and answers.

my personal bank is firstdirect

I could spend hours singing their praises - all staff are accountable and you get decisions on anything there and then. And their internet banking is second to none.

Our business bank is HSBC - their parent company - and they are completely different - only thinking about how to save money rather than serve the customer. If first direct offered business banking I would be there like a shot....just waiting now..
