If I were you I would get a copy of your credit file from Experian or Equifax and then look at ways to improve your rating over the next few months before you apply for a mortgage.

Hi,
Using your overdraft and staying within the overdraft limit will not affect your credit score in any way. However, if you have unauthorised borrowing, ie,over your agreed limit then this will have an impact.

Overdrafts do show on a persons report and a lender will take into account current borrowings when deciding to lend any more money ...

Overdrafts don't show up, but you will be surprised that simple mistake late payments to credit cards etc do show up.

Make sure if you are going on holiday you pay bills before you go! 1 day late and if could show up.

Also, if you don't use your credit cards get rid of them. Not just cutting them up, cancel them with the card company and get confirmation.

Hope this helps.

James
