Need help with investment - 30-06-2008, 07:48 PM

I have read a few threads and they have given me some answers (thank you) but I do need more help.

I have a business Idea which I know will make a lot of profit and I know no one has started this yet as I have done my reseach. most people have heard of Bollywood, (the Indian Hollywood), to open a store in London with movies, music, Indian clothing, orinments and other things from India and Pakistan. Including Film actors outfits that are worn on the set.

Yes there are small shops in the surrounding areas of London and they are doing very well, but this store will be for the western customers who are looking for indian goods in the heart of London as will as tourist. I have done my reseach and I know this is a great investment with great returns. I know where to buy clothing from in Indian and all the contacts the business will need.

The problem is I don't have any money to invest in the business apart from 100% dedication to make this business one of the sucess businesses.

Please can someone give me information or direct me which way I should go. Banks would only lead 60-70% but I need an investor(s) that will who will look at my idea.

Thank you for reading this.

An interesting idea, but would it really attract enough people to make it viable? London is already awash with spceialist Indian stores (Brick Lane or Southall for example) so what is it that you offer that I can't get already. And rember that Bollywood films still heven't gone mainstream so your prospective clients are going to be mainly Indian and Pakistani - who can already get DVD,s clothes etc.

You say that you don't have any cash. Do you have a car, house, savings? Have you given up your job to work on the project?

Effective Web Design - It's not that difficult if you follow the rules.

It's surprising how many people are into bollywood and I'm not speaking about Indian / Pakistani's. Yes London has a lot of specialist Indian stores across London but nothing in the heart of London. Brick lane is the close's and the easiest to reach still isn't that great as Southall is. Now if a little bit of everything came under one roof wouldn't that be great for everyone?

For example Have the DVD's, music, poster etc, then the clothing (which would be sublet to designers). Have a department for Ornaments from India. Have a cafe / restaurant that will be designed as an indian hut.

This store will get the full experiance of being in India without leaving London.

About the money I don't own my house, but do have a car. I was made redundant a few weeks ago (still waiting for a settlement) and no I don't have any savings. Jobs are hard to find and I would like to set up my own business now.

This is why I would like to sell my idea to an investor, but I would love to play a major part in the project. Is there any chance?

First of all, u dont have any money AT ALL ???
Well, do your business plan in DETAILS & present (60%) it to investors.
Tell the first investor u need to sell 10% and it is 30k etc.
Take the money and start the project while looking for 2nd investor!
The more u can show people the more $$$ people will invest!

Perhaps you can solicit money from other businesses the old fashioned way, just walk up to the business owners and tell them you can make them rich.
