No VAT when shipped within the UK? -
17-07-2008, 09:15 AM
Hi,
I've got a customer who has asked if we can not charge VAT on the sale so he doesn't have to claim it back when doing his VAT return, he can provide a VAT number registered to the address we will send the item too. We are also based in the UK though so are we alowed to do this? I thought not but if someone can confirm and give a legal reason why not that would be great! I could do with this info quickly if possible. Will be very grateful! Cheers. |

Surely if you are Vat registered and selling Vatable products you have to charge it on all of your sales to UK customers otherwise we would all elect not to have to pay it.
