Opening a Bank Account

I have an Italian client who is trying to open a business account here in the UK after moving here. He has incorporated the business but as he closed his italian account down in June last year, he is having problems now opening an account. The bank is asking for old statements within the last 3 months which he cannot provide. This is down to the money laundering regulations so does anyone have any ideas how we can get this new business account open?
