another new auction site was posted on here a week or so ago - there are so many using the same script from pro-bid.

my personal opinion is that your competition is too huge to even attempt to compete with and as such - you will have trouble getting both buyers and sellers.

You are ten years too late to launch this and I would amazed if anyone would invest in capital for this venture.

You are absoltely right on that and I thank you for your opinion.
My idea was to start an auction site that targets mostly local vendors and businesses. My marketing strategy would focus mainly on the local level. I realize that people would be more willing to conduct business if they know who they are dealing with.
Our research shows that a lot of business in the area don't have a website to sell their products so they are missing on the digital marketplace. Most of these business would be willing to take a membership on our marketplace.
I am not trying to crate anther ebay or yahoo. That already done. I am trying to create a marketplace for businesses in the local market.
Along with the website, is the Miamistock Magazine which is a monthly classified advertising publications where people buy and sell locally.
First Publication is scheduled to come out in January 07.
