Once you have your first post approved you're off and running. It's an unfortunate reality of modern internet life....
Doesn't seem so. I have had one post appear, but subsequent posts don't.

Very irritating. And it's not a reality of modern internet life at all - I have never seen such nonsense.

Hi All,

This is a nice topic to start off with. I am the admin for a community forum and for a short while I allowed new members to post with no moderation when we starter up a few months back. It was only a short while before I was deleting dozens of posts per week from would be spammers.

On a more serious note some of the guest responded to these people and lost money - I had to put some warning posts on this on the forum (I put a trackback here for info) and losts of desclaimers.

It really is a nuisance but there are hundreds of spammers out there waiting to fill forums like this up with crap.

regards

Roy

You want to see some of the post's that never see the light of day on here - that is true nonsense.

I understand how frustrating it can be that as a new member your post's don't always show - but if we allowed anyone to join and not limit their post's then your post would be lost under a huge list of Viagra & cheap Iphone post's anyway... And if we miss the odd legitimate post once in a while then although the mod team are at fault, the spammers are ultimately to blame

I was also having a problem like that. I don't know if my post will ever be visible. It was not a bad idea to control spammers though. But I just like to ask how long will it take before my post will become visible on the thread?
