Re: How do you determine which is a 'growth' business? -

This is a tough question, but I reluctantly had a stab at it since nobody else did. I would define a growth business as something that could grow quite rapidly in it's first few years - possibly even trebling it's turnover or more, and never increasing by less than 25% in turnover each year - and profits too, obviously.
Identifying a growth business is tough. Some companies in a particular sector continue to grow, whilst others just languish and die. If you can pick a good industry in which there is a demand for your product or service, then you have the potential to grow, regardless of how badly your competitors are doing - if you give the customer what they want. You could also look up future trends - just google business trends, and you may come up with some idea on what may make a good growth business in the future. But, remember, it's not the idea that will build your business, it's how you execute that idea. |

i think Catherine hit the nail on the head with "giving the customers what they want" you have to be able to supply some thing that they will want to buy.
What may i ask was the type of business you wanting to get involved in ? |
