Re: The Next Grand Business Idea -

Hello Stratigen.
No I don't have one up and running yet. I have a concept, business plan and a legal structure. I'm not a bar owner. As mentioned this is a concept for a bar that is easily duplicated. The concept already exists but not in the bar format. My sell is to install it as such. The idea will sell itself to an interested party because it already exists with a strong global turnover & ticks all the boxes for a succesfull bar. Some one would need to be very pessimistic not to quickly see the potential. All they need to do is re brand. I don't know what you mean by "concept document". An interested party would agree to trade under the brand name using an english licence agreement. I will advertise the brand in Local media and the web. What they get for their money is customers at their premises, exactly what any business needs. Business as usual but more of it. I think the term franchise refers to a "systematised business template/model". In that regard this isn't a franchise. They would continue to run their premises in their own, hopefully, efficient way. The price, like always and at this early stage is a negotiable item and not excessive. I haven't said "failed or failing bars". I will be careful as to who I do business with, who isn't. Thx N |

I read your comment "For anyone with an existing bar that doesn't do so well for lack of chutzpah, panache or a good idea then this will turn things around for them." as meaning you were going to target failing, or under-performing bars. I used the term "concept paper" to describe the fact that you're selling them a "concept" rather than a "franchise" or "business". In essence, you're flogging something that is "unproven and untried" (i.e. a "concept"). In choosing to target existing bars, you've also got to persuade the current owner that thier brand isn't as good as yours. This is a delicate sell, even if you have a brand. Currently, until you've conducted extensive advertising you don't (of course) have a brand (it's just a business name). Hence, without a "flagship bar" to demonstrate this concept (and help establish the brand), it's really going to be an uphill battle. I wish you the best of luck. |
