Anti Spam - 05-09-2007, 12:59 PM

Can anyone recommend a really effective and flexible spam killer?

Just use Thunderbird.

And if you have a halfway decent host they should already be employing a spam filter.

I used to use mailwasher and it was very good, but these days I tend to sift through the spam and have a good chuckle at the terrible grammar.

I use Thuderbird and it works nicely for me. Your ISP may also have some settings you can turn on..... (careful though, until you're sure it's not zapping the million-pound orders... )

Clear my mail claims a 100% success rate and the guy running it is a decent bloke too.

I agree that yahoo/hotmail at al all have spam filters but it is diffuclt to set up a pop3 account. In addition, if you have an mail@yourdomain.com email address forwarded to me@hotmail.com then your replies will come from hotmail not yourdomain. Doesn't look very professional. You could of course use your yahoo email address on your site but that looks even worse.
