Anyone here run a networking group?

We are working on some new developments on our online business network and I am really keen to hear from anyone on here who runs offline networking events.

I am looking for organisations who run these on a membership basis across the year, with in excess of 100 total members.

The reason is we'll be adding some new site features which will allow your networking group to easily network, pass leads and referrals online. We just need to know what popular networking groups exist and talk to the people who run them about doing this, so we don't step on any toes by referencing your group.

We have been running our Antidote Network for nearly three years now.

Third Wednesday of every month in Norwich. Next Wednesday (16th July) is SpeedNetworking but normally we have an inspirational/educational/motivational speaker.

Have you any experience in network groups? there are quite a few formats out there - the obvious being the likes of BNI etc but the new ones like Business club offer a few different ways of networking.

What type of businesses are you looking to attract?

I am part of a small network that only allows i person per profession. Meetings are held early evening, so people can stay behind and if they like. The best feature is going round the table to find out what everyone is looking for that week, and than later people offering help and saying what they can do.
No pies in the sky, practical stuff where people get replies to their needs.
