Angry Arghhhh! The scam of the earth! - 15-12-2004, 02:57 PM

I'm going insane!!!!! Some scambag is sending me what looks like porn (haven't opened it) e-ve-ry-ten-mi-nu-tes!!!!! Which is nonsense because if I'm not interested in that the first time, do they think that I will be ten minutes later? Somebody please send me a woodoo doll!

I've set out my outlook so that it goes straight to the deleted items box, but I still get the "you've got mail" sign for a few seconds, and it is driving me bananas. The deleted items is filling up quickly (this started last night)...

HELP! what can I do?

Have you tried mailwasher as that is quite a good programme that looks at mail on your server and will bounce any mail back to the sender as if undelivered. It sorts mail into blacklisted and friends so that you only download what you need.

I now receive over 100 spam emails every day and they are a real pain.

it's one of those things. Here's a way to stop it:

1: never answer the mail - even to say ^&*% off
2: don't subscribe to anything with your email address
3: never post your email address on a forum like this (programmes search google all the time for email addresses)
4: get some spam assain type s/ware - my host does it for me so I can't really suggest any

Thank you for your advice. I'll have a look at the software and speak with my host asap.
