Creating graphs to show effectiveness of a business' management structure and employe -
01-10-2007, 12:12 AM
Does anyone have any idea as to how you can measure the effectiveness of a business' management and its ability to motivate employees using information that businesses will be willing to disclose to the public? I have to create graphs for my term paper on the managerial structure of business' and the way they motivate employees (employee benefits etc.). Any suggestions of what data I can use to create a graph on this topic would be appreciated

I'm not clear as to how any graph can show the 'managerial structure of business'. Graphs are usually required to provide clarity on performance data.
As to measuring employee benefits and productivity you need to come up with a standard of what that productivity is. A simple example is a sales force where individual sales figures are compared over a specified period of time. Sometimes this may be refined as target performance in which each sales person has a target and you measure the percentages achieved of the targets instead of just the raw figures acheived. As to administrative staff and others, I would expect that you would have received some guidance on this from your tutor. There are no end of approaches for measuring productivity here. Joe |
