Since yahoo is one of the most Popular Search Engine. So it can bring a high traffic to your site. To get listed in yahoo search you have to add your URL to Yahoo search. Yahoo has both paid and free submission option you may choose any one according to your requirements. You may even add you XML feed and all URLs using a text file. Generally they take 6 week to get listed but it varies depending on your site. Initially yahoo will crawl only few pages of your site then you will find that more pages are getting listed in yahoo. If you site is in yahoo directory then you need not to do all this things. To add URL You must have a Yahoo ID.

You can submit your site to Yahoo but it is really not worth the effort. And paying to get included has even less value. All you are actually paying for is to get bumped up the indexing queue - it doesn't actually mean you will get listed.

You are far better off concentrating on quality content and getting some high value inbound links then waiting for all the SEs to index your site.

I am paying for ads on both google and yahoo, and honestly yahoo is a waste of money. I get half the traffic to my site thanks to my ad on google!! and yahoo, well not even worth mentioning!

I must remember to cancel my yahoo ad actually!....

Yes, you can get listed in Yahoo...If you are the ONLY one with those catch words or tags. Otherwise you will be either lost in pages of other sites or simply not found at all. It seems as though any effort to get listed in Yahoo has been a waste for my company.

Google, on the other hand, has us listed without too much effort, time or money.

Getting listed in any search engine is a matter of producing keyword rich, relevant content and being patient. The major search engines can take months to fully index a site - they are in no hurry and submitting your site won't speed up the process.

And if your keywords are similar to everybody elses than you need to work harder at those inbound links because thay will help your ranking as much as your keywords will.
