Here is question that might turn your brains.... - 14-10-2006, 03:39 PM

I am new here, first of all.
I just started doing business in malaysia under "so and so enterprise".
(please dont tell that i am in malaysia and you all dont how the system works in malaysia, the malaysian government are idiots, they copy US system and claim it theirs. so it is 98% US system)
ok here is the question..
can you name a company something like this "so and so corp." without actually being a corporation?
and can a sole propertier be a owner to a corporation...?
is "so and so enterprise" different from "so and so corp." ?
actually i just need the name..... "so and so corp." ....

anyway i know the question is weird ...
but i new so i hope it is forgivable....

Hi theonebit.

I personally would not have thought so. A quick look online seems to come up with the same answer: according to this page on Assumed Business Names, "you may not use corporate name suffixes such as Inc., Incorporated or Corp. if the company is not filed as a corporation or LLC". (This is based on the US system.)

You should probably be OK to use "Co" as in "Company". Hope that's of some help.

Thank you..... for your help

that answers the naming scheme.....

but now can a corporation be own by a sole propertier. if it is posible then the name is also posible...

so it will be become something like this, the business is filed under corporation but it is a sole ownership....

i am sure there is loophole somewhere....
just where....

I wouldn;t think so either, I agree with the above poster.

The title has to be inline with yuor business's nature.
