That's gutting, bandit. Absolutely gutting. Did they say why?

she says that she is sick of waiting for everything to happen and wished now she hadn't invested so much time money and effort into the business, can understand her feeling to a point but i am in the same position having to wait for people to get back to you and i know how frustrating that is. I'm hoping thats its the pre xmas blues just have to give her a couple of weeks then take it from there......thanks for listening

So is the silent partner bailing out? That what type of business are you involved in? Sorry I am new here just trying to understand the situation a little better. I know when I started my business we had these deadlines that seemed impossible, but we made it happen.

My business is motorcycle training and is doing well quietens down at this time of year, but doesn't grind to a halt so i still keep busy and if needs be i can boost earnings by going back to my trade that i was doing for a number of years before getting into bike training. Hopefully my partner wont bail out, as i said i hope it is only pre xmas blues. My partner is the driving force behind the business and makes it work more than i do, she is also my life partner at home, funny thing is she seems to be able to switch of re the business when at home and wont discuss any matters relating to it, as we have a weekly meeting at work to discuss these things as they concern work and not home. Asked what she would do if she wasn't working in the office and was told that she would go back to her old job that she didn't particularly like but her bosses would love her to go back. She is a great lady lady and extremly hard working and usually doesn't like to quit anything so i was wery surprised when she dropped that bombshell.

Sounds like she has a very good head on her shoulders. So does your business have a website or an online presence? I mean I have talked to a lot of business owners that have used the internet in the down time to keep the profits rolling in.

as yet the business does not have a website, but i get plenty of work through the free index website (you should take a look at it), my problem seems to be find staff to employ, i did enquire with numerous agency re recruitement but none of them seem to any business with the motorcycle industry they seem to consentrate on I.T recruitement or hotel and hospitality. Partner did try approaching another training school to discuss maybe seconding one of their instructors, but it seems to be a closed shop where they dont want to let others in although we are all trained to the same level, partner says this is a rather stupid idea as we should all work together and help each other out (this is the way she is used to working and can't understand the childish behaviour). I dont think this helps with the way she feels at the moment and the obvious thorn in her side is Scottish Enterprise, again she feels that the way the guys there are behaving at the moment is childish re big business versus small and i think she would just like to bang their heads together and maybe instill a bit of common sense into them.
