Told I have to foot the bill ???? Well if im not mistaken someone told me that if police did not find person , and no arrests ect then I am entitled for costs to damage to property , could someone verify this please , am just about to write to police to state damage caused and my intentions to take matter to court .

A few years ago a friend of mine was a lanlord, in the same position. He sent a claim for repair costs to the police, pocketed the money and did the work himself.

I'd have thought you'd be able to claim either way. After all, the damage they do is still there whether they catch anyone or not.
