Question
Our company is exporting herbal extracts to EU and US,for Nutrition and beverage industry.I want to design a website that is very promotional to customers(Nutrition or beverage manufacturers and wholesalers).
We did thought about let the customer log in and see all the prices of products and choose customized services, then order online. But we are lack of confidence whether the customers are willing to purchase in this way?

My thought is quite limited, can any one give me some inspiring ideas ?Thanks !

Online marketing has been the relolutionary way of buying and selling good. E-commerce has surpassed most of the convetional methods in modern day trading.

Setting up a site would be easier than promoting it and gaining your consumers trust.

Ask yourself why would a customer would place their trust on your website over the other numerous and more established sites offering the same products?

The 'log in' to retriev prices is very off putting in my experience - often in business to business marketing ther is no way round it but the last thing a consumer wants to be faced with when doing price comparisons is a log in screen.

Ideally you want a website that allows anyone to see list prices and then a log in facility for existing customers who'll then have a discount against list price.

With all online shops, you need to make sure you're using the right keywords in order to rank highly on search engines and attract the right visitors. At the end of the day you're looking for traffic that will convert into an order.

Yes,your suggestions do make sense. But what i'm worrying about is that our product is herbal extract powders, which are raw materials for herbal products manufacturers. To list the price online is not safe as we have so many competitors doing the same products. So we thought about log-in&see the price list.

Our customers(manufacturers) may not have the habit to order on-line as they usually contact with their stable suppliers and ,for new supplier, they need to get familiar with their qualities to make sure thay can be used in their manufacturing. After all It's not a cheap-and-buy product.

In this case,I'm not sure how to make a website useful for our sales.

Unless you use the fact that you have visible prices as a unique selling point i.e. we believe in our prices and are happy to publically release them unlike many of our competitors

Maybe worded better than that but you get my point....
