Automatic Submission Software - 26-03-2008, 05:45 PM

Hi guys!

Pretty new to all this myself, hopefully I'm not the only one!

I'd like to get my story out to as many places as possible and thought automatic submission software might be the way forward.

Has anyone used this and done well out of it? Is there a cost involved? Which ones are the best to use?

Any help much appreciated.

None of them.

The big 3 search engines don't accept automated submissions. All you get for your money is submission to a bunch of directories that nobody visits and provide zero link juice.

Much better to work on building an interesting and informative website that people will want to visit and let the search engines do the rest for you.

Once that's sorted you can work on link building - this means getting other high ranking sites to link to you. But it's not easy and don't expect to see result in much less than 6 months.

Many "directories" and "submission" sites are just email collectors for spammers.

Also just ask your self, when was the last time YOU went to a directory to find something , or do you just use google, yahoo, msn etc?

I would recommend just concentrating on the major search engines and doing manual submissions instead.

from experience you will find you get much greater results if you get websites to link to you rather that doing submissions.

I have submitted sites to google and not been indexed for months, yet if i link to it, it will be indexed in a few weeks.

yep, submission is a waste of time because that's not how search engines rank sites - need loads of suitable links to your website really.
