Best Social Networking Sites to Market a Client's Business and Website

I'm a huge fan of all that social networking sites have to offer in terms of free promotion for a client's site. As such, I wanted to start a thread that listed the BEST social networking sites to promote a CLIENT'S business. Obviously the web2.0 sites listed should be used in CONJUNCTION with a client's site in order to maximize exposure and build a stronger web presence. I'll start the list, but please add on:

EBAY - Really obvious, but people overlook it frequently. For the right types of clients, online stores can be very helpful

MYLOCALSPOT - Like a MySpace for small businesses. Create a free profile with pictures, business description, products/services list, current specials and a link to the client's site.

CRAIGSLIST - Again, often overlooked. Millions of people search it, and you can really hit a great niche audience. Better for service based business clients, but definitely worthwhile.

SQUIDOO - Make a webpage to hype a client's site/business...or...use it to hype a current promotion that a client is running. Very cool.

I prefer www.digg.com right now - it can work really well if you submit good articles or blogposts.

I hate www.stumbleupon.com I signed up and it asked if I wanted to ask my friends to join - as soon as I hit yes, without warning it retrieved every single email address from my account and spammed everyone.

Honestly, adding a blog to your client's business would make it easier to market

Digg does the job and it gets you indexed very fast

I have liked using digg and delicious. I have also began to look into utube as a medium to reach new clients. Think of it as min commercials for your business. Plus you can use your creativity and the video might become a viral hit which means huge impressions for your site.

If you're going down the blog route www.Technorati.com and www.Blogcatalog.com are both excellent sites. Technorati especially.

I am a big fan of Squidoo. I run a Horsham lens which is basically a mash-up of my existing sites. The lens does sent enough traffic back the other way to make it worth my while.

I also use del.icio.us to but more for online bookmarking than for social networking.
