Hi There
I know what you mean about company's expection you to come up with content, used to drive me NUTS!
Forutunetly I have a talent for writting so it's not a problem, when we first get a client, and they don't have any content, I ring them up and talk for a couple of hours (our phone company has cheap worldwide rates in off peak times, which of course is peak hours anywhere else in the world) anyway, I speak to them find out as much as I can about their business and write the content, our webdesigner checks spelling, and we're off. One of the first websites we did, I wrote the content totally, they were amazed I knew so much about their business..... I made the whole thing up lol.... they were thrilled.....
I do the SEO of websites, and am darn good at it, so that takes up the slack, but again most people expect a fantastic website, great ratings, and at the same time don't want to pay for your time.
I tend to spend my down time, when I'm not on forums optimising websites, give me something to do, and keeps my hand in, and the clients happy.
