Do you "care" what Alexa.com says? - 16-04-2008, 06:08 PM

Just thought i would ask, as the "worldwide" ranking is useless to me as i only operate in the UK, but do you check out the figures of your/anyone's site at all?

I have noticed a "jump" of 131,000 in my UK rank in the last week, so is this Alexa any good?

Would apprieciate seeing others views on this.

Thank You,
Steve

Alexa rankings are too easy to "influence" which is why they don't carry much weight

Unscrupulous website owners can use their supposed Alexa ranking to increase advertising revenue. If you Google around you will come up with a few programs that will help out in that regard

I personally never take any notice of it, but the higher it is, the better if you are doing it honestly.
