Embedded video on our website. -
10-07-2008, 07:26 PM
Hi All
This is my first post apart from my intro so bear with me on this as I break my Internet Marketing Forum cherry!!! My request is simple. We want to run movies on our website and embed them in a YouTube style. Our problem is that although we can embed via YouTube, once the movie ends, YouTube puts similar product movie links on the screen. Obviously, this could send a punter somewhere else so are there any sites that allow me to embed video and only show our own other movies as links. Also, if the punter click to visit the video hosting site, I want them only to see our movies as other options. This must exist eh!!! Thanks Mike |

Most video hosting sites exist to make money. The way they do this is by embedding adverts and links into submitted videos. So you are unlikely to be able to achieve your goal.
One simple answer is not to use any of the video hosting sites. Why not just host them yourselves and use one of the many free streaming video players available. www.free-video-hosting.net |

In addition to the well known methods of using Google videos and YouTube, plus a host of others, there are ways of producing your own video as a Flash movie which can be hosted directly on your site. This way you overcome the problem of the end of the video being under the control of the host and the extra clips ghosted at the bottom. Here's an example:
http://www.theantidotenetwork.co.uk/index.htm I have set this one so that the viewer has to click the player controls to start but I could have made it play automatically. This was created with Video Web Wizard which I use a lot. http://shop2.actinicexpress.com/shop...deo_Web_Wizard The other consideration is the benefits of using Google or YouTube from an SEM point of view. There is a school of thought that says having the video embedded via their hosting may improve your ranking. But what is certain is that, if the YouTube end is setup correctly and you use some smart tactics, you could be generating extra traffic. I use YouTube video hosting for some jobs where I'm looking to drive extra traffic such as: http://www.norfolkbroadsphotography.co.uk http://www.videoforyourcompany.co.uk/ and the CRM Primer on my own site. Other times I will use embedded flash because it's neater and you don't have any third party intrusion. I hope this helps. |

Try using "video web wizard" I picked it up for a couple of dollers on the web.
If you want to see how I have used it look here:-http://www.profitxchange.co.uk/getting_paid.shtml |
