Google Adwords Advice - 29-07-2005, 12:56 PM

I am running my first google adwords campaign. However, despite getting lots of impressions, the Click Through Rate is zero.

I am offering a workshop in London that will combine coaching with
expert nutrition and exercise advice.

The ad for the workshop is available at:

http://www.worklifebalanceenterprise...workshops.html

however, nobody seems to be clicking through to read the Ad in Google
- can anyone offer me any advice.

The ad that I have is:

Ditch that Diet Book.
London workshop will show you how
to start losing weight immediately.
www.worklifebalanceenterprise.co.uk

I have a good rating (around 3 or 4) for each of the keywords and I
went for the keywords that scored good in overture.

Is there anything else that I should be doing?

Many thanks
Rachel

Hi and welcome

I am no adwords expert but here are my thoughts

Your ad needs to have the search words you are targeting in the ad itself (as these will be bolded by google)

Try several ads to see what people click on.

Think about why people would want to click

For example, if you are targeting the word "diet" what are you offering that can help ? There are a lot of claims out there - why will you be different ?

London Workshop is a "not now" solution - ie: when people are searching they want information RIGHT NOW. Workshop is later.

So maybe you want to offer a free course of "5 things no diet book ever told you" - you'll get the email addresses so you can upsell.

I have a feeling that the workshop idea might be the problem

But, try loads of different ads to see what works best for you

Hi there,

What key words are you using? I'd also look at running a print ad too. Maybe Metro (London). Who are you targeting and I'll have a brain storm for mag ideas - I've worked at most major publishing houses and should be able to get you a very nice rate.
