Google Adwords or Yahoo Marketing - 19-02-2008, 04:39 AM

I wandered across Yahoo Marketing yesterday and was wondering if it was as good as Google Adwords.

If you sign up for the Self Serve option with Yahoo Marketing it's free and you get £50 credit.

Which would you choose Google or Yahoo, both or neither?

Yahoo Marketing is definitely not as good as Google Adwords. It's interface is more confusing to use and you'll get a lot less traffic than you'd get with Adwords.

I use Adwords and Yahoo if I wanted to get the max. amount of traffic.

Hi,

I've got the same question myself.

Did you ever find out any info on which was best?

Regards,

I have been using both of them, Google Adwords is more effective while it is eating your money, the Yahoo Marketing just drive a few visitors for me, well, as long as it is free, why not give it a try?

You may end up paying less as not as competitive but not as muc traffic.

Go for niche keywords in google adwords proved more successful than going for major keywords in yahoo and msn!

Hi,

We used to use a combination of both Adwords and Yahoo, and have stuck with Google Adwords for its easy of use and great analytics system.

On Yahoo we spent less but had less 'valid' traffic from it.

Just keep a close eye on Google Adwords, it can be so easy to overspend! We did daily checks to make sure we didn't spend too much due to the volume of traffic it provided.
