Hi all,
i'm looking for your forthright opinions on our main site and Blog.

we're an Online Reputation Management company with a decent marketshare and a high skill/experience level.

our site has been up in its present form for over a year (albeit with a few tweaks to keep up to date) and the image we are trying to present is the personality of the company.
i.e. we are professional, but human.
the site is here.
www.tigertwo.co.uk

we also have a blog, which is pretty standard fare our thoughts are that it's informal yet informative.

www.tigertwotiger.co.uk

can you give me your thoughts on whether you feel our aims in terms of what i have mentioned above are being met, and also what you think you would do differently if you were in our shoes?

The blog is excellent - I've bookmarked it for a leisurely perusal later.

tigertwo - err, what is it you do? It looks really nice, I like the layout but after reading the contents of the first few pages I'm still not clear about what it is you do. There was an excellent study carried out a while back that showed how important it is to get your aim across as soon as possible -Blink Then Click - How visitors explore websites. There is nothing on your homepage that engages with the visitor.

So are you marketeers, website consultants, trainers, analysts? Or all of them. As a visitor I want to know: what's in it for me?

From an SEO point of view, your page titles only really work for very specific searches, if I hadn't heard about Online Reputation Management I wouldn't be searching for that key phrase.

A few thoughts for you.

Thank you for the positive feedback on the blog, much appreciated.

with regards to what Tigertwo do, basically it's Online reputation management!

we've carved out our own niche. However i take on board your comments, it's entirely possible that we are very much embedded in our business and that can lead to us making assumptions that people know what we're talking about!

After the various media articles on ORM, we rather felt that it was more widely known/accepted than perhaps it is so I'll have a look at the possibility of engaging the visitor further and explaining the concept more succinctly on the front page after your feedback.

just a thought, did you look at the article on the front page?

We've just redesigned our site, the links are in the first post
tigertwo is the main site
and tigertwotiger is the blog site

I'd be interested to get some more feedback with regards to the layout, style typefaces and if the copy feels intuitive.

does it make you want to know more about what we do?
we intend to focus on training over the next year or so as we have a number of clients who are keeping us busy with the full ORM service package. Thats not to say we would turn away business, just that we are looking long term and trying to educate the market to the importance of ORM and SMM

also for anyone that read the blog, did you find it useful?

Hi there again.

Who are you and what do you do?

If all your visitors already understand what reputation management is then your homepage is wasted - you are preaching to the converted.

If you visitor hasn't got a clue what reputation management is then your homepage offers no real explanation.

Who is your target? The manager looking to build their business or the the company in distress?

As it is the site fails the blink then think test. I have the read the blurb to even discover what you offer. If I can't see a tagline/USP within 2 seconds of landing then you are already losing my attention.

I personally found the font colour and size made it difficult to read. What is the purpose of the tiger image? It seems to sell your compnay name but not your services. Why don't you put your contact details on every page? If I just read about your consulting services then the page should finish with your email/phone number. Why do you have the links to your services on the 'what we do' page but not on the homepage?

The main problem with the site is the lack of direction. As a bit of promotion fluff it works fine but for the company in trouble (even if they do mange to find you) it offers little in way of help and support.

Incidentally, if you want to rank well across the keyword spectrum you need to make quite a few changes to the site. You rank well for 'online reputation management' but that's only any good if your potential clients know to search for this!

Hope this helps

I do like the content on your site. The thing that bothers me the most is the font size is small and makes it hard to read. Especially since you are using a gray font on a white background.

Your image of the tiger´s eyes staring at you is distracting. It does bring out your point of everyone watching you on the internet but after a while, it makes it hard to concentrate on the actual text content. I would suggest maybe a filter or making it a bit smaller.

Also, on your homepage and on a few pages you dont have the right menu available which makes it hard to decipher what your website is about.

I like the style of your site, clean and simple.

The only thing I thought was odd was that the blog and website, whilst similar in design, are are not fully integrated. I would think it would look that little bit more professional if the wordpress template matched the company site exactly.

thanks for the feedback, we're working on a couple of updates that will take on board some of what has been said above.

Really appreciate the constructive criticism as well as the positivity.

we're changing direction slightly as well to focus more on training brands and individuals to use social media effectively.
so watch this space for more site updates
