Hi, I am new to the forum and new to affiliate marketing in general.

I have been looking into it as a possible way of earning some extra cash, but after doing a bit of research on the subject I have been left with more questions than answers.


I have read some stuff on search marketing whereby you dont need a website, but it seems as if some affiliate networks only allow affiliates with a website. Are google and yahoo trying to block such marketing? It seems like a good,low cost option if you can get to grips with keywords etc.

Do you believe the best way to start in affiliate marketing is to design a content rich website and drive customers there through say a pay per click scheme.

Any guidance on this would be appreciated.
