theinternetalphabet,

To be fair, if you are coming on this forum to ask members for their opinion, then take it on the chin and answer the questions.

Don't underestimate the value of 'tough love'.

The questions seem very reasonable to me and I am sure that once answered, will give other members a clearer idea of the 'internetalphabet' concept.

I consider Leela's questions quite legitimate. As suggested, if you are confident about the site and it's potential then you would be able to show us how you are marketing to all these millions of visitors.

Your topic title is 'hows this for an online marketing website?'. If you ask the question then you should expect frank answers.

Effective Web Design - It's not that difficult if you follow the rules.

If you don't want people to be critical of your website, ask sensible questions or offer their opinions, constructively or otherwise, then why post here at all?

As has been said the questions asked of you have been entirely legitimate, and will be asked by any sensible business person. The fact that you are so reluctant to offer clear answers only goes to enforce the notion that you're unjustifiably charging a fortune for an appalling service (bidding in $50 increments is ludicrous).

And what makes you think your site is any different to the millions of other advertising sites which sell tiny pockets of space? Do you think the alphabet gimmick (and that's all it is) really sets you apart? Would you be happy throwing money, with no obvious source of return, at a site that looked like that?

One of the things that disturbs me the most is that if you read the site FAQ you'll see that the reason she created this site:

"Through this website I hope to raise enough money to start my own fashion business."

i.e. she has no interest in providing a high-value service to her clients. She doesn't actually care about what she's doing.

She wants to take peoples money so she can be a fashion designer.

These are the kinds of online scams that make it difficult for legitimate business people online.

I have half a mind to email the link to this post to all of the people on her site. I hope if any of them are on here, or if anyone knows them personally, they'll get them to ask her the same list of questions I posted.

If she can not provide satisfactory answers to these I would demand my money back - these poor business people are being mislead.

(P.S. - what REALLY riles me is that she calls herself an entrepreneur. Scams like this are an insult to that word ... )

I think the main question that should be asked is "what value is there for a consumer to go to your site to click on an ad?"

Additionally, why would i advertise on your site when my ad cant target a particular demographic.

Sorry, but not well thought out.
