Hello,

I have tried to find some companies, who could sell my product together with theirs, but only 1 of 10 responded.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I offered them 60% of my profit, we have the same audience and non competitive products, which could make good bundle and more value for customers. The other company could collect all money and send me my share later, they could make extra profit without any work. I dont understand where the problem is.

Are there some good books and websites about joint ventures, or forums where people are looking for biz partners?
Thanks

It can be tough.

Did any of them say why they have rejected your offer (so you can tweak it?)

No, they didnt response at all, I asked about 20 companies last week and got only 2 replies.

There are 3 difficult steps, the email must pass spam filter, the recipient must open it and he must read it. This is why I tried different headlines.

I am not sure how many from the 20 emails went so far, but it can be really difficult. Some people just delete emails immediatelly, especially if they just work for the company and they dont want to get more work.

Maybe I should try mail instead of email? It cannot be deleted so easily and it looks more seriously.

Is there no website for people who are open minded and looking for new partners and new profits?

This is one of those difficult questions to answer since we don't konw the product, price or potential customers. We don't kow if it was compatible with the other websites you cotnacted, how you plan to do the distribution, whet your lead time is or stock levels.

You say 60% profit but is that 6p per itme or £60?

I agree mail doesn't get deleted but it does end up in the bin with the other zillion promotions they get every day.

Yes indeed you should try snail mail. Can sometimes have more credibility, especially if you have a registered company with a company letter head, etc.

Why not just phone them?
