Can anyone recommend a pay per click advertiser

I've been looking at espotting and overture - are there any others and what are these like ?

Thanks

The main ones are epotting, overture and google adwords.

They all work in a similar manner but with the first two you can see what the top bids are and where you want to bid yourself.

I have found I get more qualified leads from overture, then espotting first.

Let me know if you have any other questions - I might put a guide up to how to bid and find your keywords - watch this space

Hi!

Can somebody explain what the following clause means? It is in the overture pay-per-click conditions.

" “Low” means when your account balance falls below the prior 3 days of click charges. Please note that the prior 3 days of click charges must be available in your account at all times in order to keep your listings online. Each time your account balance falls below that amount, your credit card will be charged the amount you specified (£30) until your account balance equals at least the prior 3 days of click charges."

The £30 I didn't specify, it was the estimated number of clicks given my bids for the selected keywords.

I'm puzzled

Thank you

This simply means if you don't generate enough clickthrus on your account you will be charged £30 - even if you only really spent £2

That is very unfair, and very clever.

Unfair because for seasonal business like mine (holiday rentals) there will be periods of no interest whatsoever in my product - although I have had a surprisingly busy Christmas -

Clever because there is a way of avoiding the full payment... which is ME finding and clicking my own ads in order to increase the click-through rate. That's machiavelic!

I think I'll stick to Google Adwords , which seems to be working very well indeed and it is easy to manage.

Thank you guys!

And happy new year!

Question Pay for performance

I spent £1,000 on a managed Overture service through my web host and got a £300 return over a 4 month period. At that point I could not afford another £500 tranch with Overture (which is what my web host was offering) and having made a £700 loss which I could not allow to grow.

I have been using Google Adwords for 4 weeks and although I have not achieved a paying assignment yet, I have spent about £7 and found that the enquiries are of a similar number to when using Overture but tending to be much better quality. I have even had a couple of enquiries from presidents of global companies which may lead to paid work - people at this level I never got anywhere near using Overture.

I'd be interested to hear whether others have used 2 or more of these types and whether the results differed very much.

Hi

My company seems to be getting a lot of hits from pay per click listings, without getting the expected amount of enquiries, by boss thinks it is our competitors, he has heard about this sort of "pay per click fraud" and has asked me to try and source something that can monitor our our website and find out what is going on.

I have found a product called [ removed by moderator ]

I am trying the demo version and it seems to work really well just wondering if any one else has tried it or purchased it and if so what they thought? This products stands out as it is live and I can see the people as they come to the site, and track were they are going.

Let me know you experiences with this software, and pay per click fraud, any information appreciated.

I don't know about "pay per click fraud" but my pet peeve is "forum fraud" where people register to tell us about this wonderful new product they have discovered whereas in reality they are just hyping their own products deceiptfully.
