Pay per clicks and Ezines?

I've been told that (so long as your careful) PPC's and ezines can be very good for driving traffic to your site.
What has been peoples experience with these 2 marketing techniques? Should I give them a try or toss those ideas out and try something else?

They are only any real use if your site is already converting.

Suppose you get 100 visitors a day and everyone leaves without buying anything, increasing the number of visitors will just mean more people leaving without buying anything.

Use PPC as a means of bringing in new visitors but if your ROI is 0% then stop the campaign and take another look at your website to find out why people are not buying.

If you already have 102% conversions then yes PPC can work but make sure your profit for each sale is greater than the cost of each advert.

PPC programs are useful for driving traffic to websites, especially during the first year of launching the website, because it usually takes more than one year to have some tangible search engine rankings, and you can have visitors immediately after your ads are up and running.

Google AdWords can be the most important program.

PPC is indeed the way to go for new sites. As soon as your site picks up traffic naturally, you can decide whether to drop ppc or continue with it especially if you are getting good conversions from it
