My name is Jessica Adams and I am a student at Manchester University studying marketing.

I am currently doing research into affiliate and referral marketing and would like to present you with the opportunity to earn £2 for filling out some details and completing a free 2 week DVD rental trial with LoveFILM. This offer is only available to UK resident and to complete the offer and be eligible for your £2 payout you must receive at least one DVD to your home at no cost to yourself. You may cancel the trial at any point after this.

I will provide you with a website to visit. You will need to select an item on this page and then type your email into the box on the right and click sign up. Don’t worry – your details will never be sold or shared. On the next page you will be required to add your address details, continue, and choose the LoveFILM offer when presented with the option to do so. The item that you choose in the beginning does not matter as it is not required that you continue with the program. What I am interested in revolves around the completion of the 2 week DVD rental service trial offered by LoveFILM. Again I remind you that it is a trial, costs you nothing and you can cancel at any point after receiving and sending back 1 DVD.

I require 50 different people for this £2 per sign up research project. It is important that these 50 people be unique so I’m afraid you cannot be paid to complete this more than once. If you are already a user of LoveFILMs services, you also cannot take part in this project. It is also important that you do not use a shared computer when submitting your details as IP addresses are monitored and this will void the agreement we have and you will not be paid.

Payment will be made within 7 days of you successfully completing the LoveFILM offer and will be sent via PayPal. Are you affiliated with Lovefilm or is this a lovefilm promotion? Who is paying the £2? The only reason for my sceptisim is the £50 voucher I have from lovefilm that requires me to sign up with an option to leave before the promotion ends. Is this the same sort of deal? Do I have to sign up to lovefilm and then get a 2 week free trial?

PS: Are you the same Jessica Adams who won the People’s Choice Award in 2006?
