I have re-designed my website smartpixels dotnet completely. It was not organized previously but now I have organized everything.

Please visit my site and comment on the design as well as the navigation part of it.

On previous design, some links on my portfolio were not working but now everything is fully functional.

Hi Jani

I visited your site and the first thing I saw was Islamic Directory.com. That immediatly stopped me from exploring the site any further. Now don't get me wrong, Islam money, Christian money, black money or white money is welcome in my bank account, but Islam has created a perception of terrorists and suicide bombers. It can put off potential customers. One does not change a perception with facts, only with other perceptions.

I would remove that customer from my list of references, if I were you, unless your target market are Muslims. That is my opinion, but I would like to see what the other members of this forum think.

Actually My target market is not muslims, not christians...nothing. Everyone is welcome. I work for everyone who wants to hire me. I don't even ask him that are you muslim, christian..etc

I am designer and designer's duty is to deliver the work which is asked. Not to do anything else with the client.

And you are right, islam has got a "terrorist" image in the world but Islam itself hates terrorism. There are just bad people who are doing all these terrorist activities on the name of islam. They have no religion, they are not muslims, not christians... nothing. Only bad people.

Where do you advertise your site? Have you checked out your ranking on Alexa.com?

My smartpixels alexa is 613,648.. why are you asking about it?

I think that Alexa is a nice tool to get management info from. You know how many visitors you get, and from where.

Yahoo is listed as nr 1 and gets about 25 million hits per day if I interpret the graph correctly. Now that figure does not change much over time when you look at the graph. Does that mean they have reached maturity? How much growth is still possible?

Like I said in another post, I don't understand this internet business very well, but it seems to me that the more the hits, the higher the value of the website. In your case you want visitors to phone or email you with a request for quotation. That is a different story altogether. In the first case, one can sell adspace at a huge premium and sit back while the money rolls in whereas in your case, you will have to work your butt off once a quote has been accepted. At least that is what I think you want to accomplish.

BTW how much would an ad on the yahoo.com website for say a month cost? Say you link from there for a month, you will get so much work, I don't know if you'll be able to cope.

I disagree... would you make a child pornography website just because someone asks you to? You have to have morals no matter what business you are in.

FWIW: I have no problem with the domain islamicdirectory.com and likewise would have no problem with christiandirectory.com, not sure about that whole "Army of Allah" link that's on there...but I'm not going to even go there.
