Starting a new blog?
11-12-2007, 03:10 PM
#1
I've read that blogs are seen better by search engines, because of their continuous update.
We've tried this thing before but we've got little results.
We want to create a new blog. My main interest is to bring traffic for cratima website and new business for the company.
Before we'll decide to transform this thought into reality I have some questions.
1. Should we put the blog on Cratima 's domain name, on should I make a blog on blogspot, myspace...etc.
2. Regarding the content. We want the blog to be about new internet solution that can help new businesses. a) We can search the web, find out news, filtered them and then put the most interesting in our blog. b) We can add value to different news on the net, value from our knowledge and business.
c) Use both articles with added value and some funny stories related to the businesses.
3. How many blog administrators are necessary to make it interesting (with quality and enough information)
Thanks!

use sub domains
or you can start with cratima.info
blogs ad value to your business,
get good spam filter installed
and if you have overseas contacts use them as in cratima in another language

Cratima,
There is no point in asking the same question in different forums if you are not going to heed the advice given.
Willie: there is no advantage in using sub-domains, if you read the latest reports you will know that the search engines simply regard then as folders within a domain.

your talking SEO, I'm talking niches specialist 1st, then SEO 2nd
people come back to your blog because of content, not SEO,
they like the content they will mail links for your content to their friends, or pass the virtual message along,

How on earth can 'niche specialist' be affected by the use of sub-domains?
People will visit a blog irrespective of where it is. Take this forum for example, I've got a bookmark for the homepage - I don't care if it is a folder or sub domain of teneric.
In any case, it's got nothing to do with SEO.

I have several blogs which are all blogger based.
On some of my sites I have a subdomain redirected to the blogspot page.
Blogs are good for getting relevant links back to your site. I also assume that the myblog.blogspot pages will inherit some of the blogspot PR love?

If you are going to start a Blog for SEO purposes then don't bother... In order to have the desire to update it regularly with worthwhile content then you have to Blog because you want to...
The best Blog's are those written by people who really want to Blog, not be those who think that their Blog is just another SEO "tool"

The person or team that will administrate and post messages on the blog will be a person that is interested in the subjects he's writing.
The reason we will pay that person is obvious for improving our marketing.
There are little blog owners, administrators that are posting for free (they are there for promotion, valuable information, fame etc), please help me change my mind by giving me a counter example.
thank you!

If you ant to improve your marketing why not concentrate on building a website that is indexable and accessible, you can then make the blog part of the site. Just about everyone on every forum you have posted on has said the same thing about your site.
As to changing you mind - you have never take any of the advice give so far in all your post so I have no confidence that you will do so in the future.

Do not assume that just because they write in English, that it is their 1st language, some of the words used are from translation and does not mean the same,
