You should submit your site to as many places as possible to get links into your site. Here are some directories to consider :

www.dmoz.org - perhaps the most important - but can take a while
www.bigbusinessweb.com
http://ebintel.com/
www.business.com $99 submission but worth it
http://www.businesslist.co.uk/
http://www.aardvarkbusiness.net
http://www.uksmallbusinessdirectory.co.uk/
http://www.businessranks.com/
http://www.sterlins.com
http://www.relmaxtop.com/

There are many more but these will keep you busy for a while

you might also consider yahoo's directory

it gives a good pr boost but it costs $299

That is quick off the mark as the domain was only registered yesterday. Personally I don't see much value in paying for a listing in a brand new directory with a Google PR of Zero and the reciprocal links will be of more benefit to yourself than the individual business at the moment.

Quite co-incidentally I started to check my links pages to ensure that the other sites are maintaining their links to me and the first one that I looked at was businessranks.com which looked awfully familiar.

Certainly for the areas that I looked at worldbusinessranking.info is an identical copy - without the Google ranking.

Edit - A check at WHOIS shows businessranks.com to be registered in USA whilst the worldbusinessranking.info copy is registered in Bangalore.

They are accepting free entries at present. I submitted my site earlier today, although they do not guarantee that you will be listed.
