Why aren't you looking at the camera? The video makes you look untrustworthy.

Thanks for the feedback. As I understand it the preferred method is to speak as though one is talking to someone beside the camera rather than the camera itself. ( watch some of the TV videos- other than the news)
Anyway I will consider my next option.

Thanks

I can understand it if it were an interview but you are talking to me so it would be nice if you could acknowledge this.

And smile!

I am another one that is not very keen on video on webpages, and besides, my speakers are usually off. If I want to watch something I will go to youtube and search. I don't want a webpage telling me what I can read myself

Any video should add to or complement any web page content. I agree it is a waste of effort just resding the content on the page.

I saw a fantastic one of these the other day, sadly I can't remember the site it was on, which my say something about this technique.

On every page there were three or four 'presenters' who would wander over the site content out of nowhere and start talking.

I don't mind having the option to watch a video/hear a speech, but I'd rather it be my choice and that it didn't interfere with me reading the page content itself.

The idea sucks and you guys are right but it seems this idea will find its place in some specialized field. For example a church site ... someone giving blessings when you pop in ... :-)

I find bold red headlines good than those talking people beside the page that goes as you scroll the page. Very annoying!

Besides, I am not turning my speakers on when I am surfing.
