What can be done to improve this site?...

We have an office rental site and have only recently put the actual offices on the site.

The site is www (dot) free office finder (dot) com

...(all one word).

We actually speciailise in Serviced offices (mainly in and around central london in the UK).

The site is being promoted in the search engines but we have noticed that the site isnt getting the conversions we had hoped for and clients looking for 'serviced offices' are converting the least?!..

Ideas and feedback would be gratefully appreciated. thanks

I didn't actually get past the homepage. There is so much going on that I didn't know where to look. You could get rid of most of the clutter and have a simple introduction along with links to the core business areas.

As it is your navigation is appalling - there is no hierarchy and the links themselves are tucked away at the top of the page as well as being mixed in with all the corporate blurb.

You note that conversions are low. Where are visitors abandoning the site? How long do they stay? What pages do they visit? Until you know who uses and how they use the site you can't makes changes. I can see a number of problems with the site both in usability and accessibility that will put off both visitors and the search engines but you need to investigate visitor behavior before you start changing things.

i had always thought the site was very simple, but maybe i am wrong..

Can you point out which bits in particluar are too much or confusing?

I want to edit the homepage and send you an example for you to approve and give the OK. Do you have an email address i can send to?..

If you are getting good traffic from that keyword and little or no conversion - your content and site would be the problem as what fisicx is trying to point out.

If you are not getting enough traffic for that keyword - focus on other keyword that would bring in more traffic.

For a more effective campaign, diversify in promoting your site. Opt for advertising that would reach more of your target audience - Paid ads on similar niche sites, other PPC, classifieds, offline marketing, etc...

the image maps are nice but spoilt by overzealous title text. maybe have a textarea beneath the image map and populate it with descriptive text as the image map is being used

Quite alarming that you didnt want to go last the homepage. I have done a redesign and might send to you if you. appreciate your thoughts. Thing to bear in mind is that we dont want to lose text and therefore Search engine placements.

Which titles do you mean?.. for the whol page?.. or certain text on the page?..

i mean the pop-up text that u get when u move ur cursor over an image map section. eg: "South East London, SE1 - SE26, BR1 - BR3, CR0, DA1" and "East Midlands, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire...etc"

sounds good. flash is good for such interactive stuff. just remember to provide a sitemap or something for people who can't use flash.

hey, I think you have got a pretty website there. Some changes could be make to the logo and title..seems too small

And the lower part seems to be over crowded..perhaps just use one column for the popular search area instead of two columns?
