Question Where to place ads?

I've been placing ads in classifieds on the internet but I'm not sure they're working. Where can I place ads and know they will be seen?

Not sure the classified on the internet are going to bring in much business - there is just too much competition.

The quickest and simplest method to advertise your website is using a PPC campaign (such as adwords).

Fairly simple to set up and you spend as little or as much as you like.

Go to google.co.uk/adwords, sign up and within a few minutes you can have your adverts showing on the results page.

Classified Ads can work if you know how to optimize them for the search engines. That way they will get to the top of the search engines and recieve visitors who type in queries instead of visitors to the classified ad site.

Simple way to do that is to use simple SEO. Find the keywords that describe what you want to advertise and put those keywords in your ad title. Put it a couple of times in your ad and submit it.

Also note that they keywords must have low competition in the search engines. You can check this by typing your keyword in "quotes' and checking to see how many results are returned. Less than 5000 is ideal for this type of thing.

Place your ads where people who want your stuff are likely to read them Anything else is a waste.

So, answer these two simple questions and the answer to your first will be obvious.

1. Who want's your stuff (hint: the answer isn't "everybody")?
2. What are they reading?

Cheers

depends what you are selling, but Gumtree is a good classified ads site.

I can confirm Adwords is a good way of getting internet leads, but can be expensive if you don't know what you are doing. Try and get a copy of brad cullens ebook, message me and I can send to you, but you should find it for free on the internet. "Adwords Made Easy" in google.

There are several parts to your question:

"not sure they are working" - that is the first thing you MUST clear up. You MUST use tracking codes to make sure you know where traffic is coming from and whether your ads are working

"Where can I place ads..." - it isnt just about where- the ad itself is vital... a simple headline change can make a factor of 10 difference as to whether anyone clicks in.

"know where they will be seen" - that is all about research...before placing any ad, get some traffic stats on the site: and or keywords. If you do not track your own ads, the advantage of ppc is it can tell you how many impressions you got. One of the best and most overlooked strategies is site targetting google ads to place them on the sites you choose.

Without knowing your product it is hard to say any more.

I'm not sure that this is a good investment of money because of the amount of competition. I realize it's not what you want to hear, but I would suggest article marketing to be better.

Best Regards,
Robert

have you tried google adwords or adsense? You can stick to a monthly budget and monitor the results.

This type of campaign is where you would see the best return. Does depend on your target market and your budget.

Good luck!
