Where shall I submit my precious articles?
12-03-2007, 11:26 PM
  #1

Hi all,
I have developed about 15 high quality, lengthy and unique articles that relate to my website.

Question is:
Do I submit them to article directories such as Ezine Articles, Go Articles etc to reach a wide number of other publishers

OR

Do I offer them to other non competing websites (so I can get links and hopefully traffic back to my site)

OR

Do I keep them on my website

Ideally I can't do all three because this devalues them due to duplicating the content across all three places.

Because my site is new and not yet building traffic, is it worth putting them on my site at all? If I give them out to other people would it hurt to publish them on my site once I start getting traffic or will the search engines see this as duplicate content?

I am also worried that once I put them out there on directories they will just get ripped off and re-used without my details or links back to my site - how does one get around this conundrum?

P.S Apologies for the multiple questions - but I do feel they all tie in quite well

I would post a couple on the big article directories and see what happens.

See if you get credited for backlinks and traffic.

Then you can decide what to do (it may take a few weeks for Google to get around to indexing them so be patient and decide once Google has the article in their cache)

Thanks Peter

Out of interest, would you say it is worthwhile doing the whole article approach method?

I know you are an expert in SEO and I ultimately want to rank well, but don't want to waste too much time writing articles if I know I stand a good chance of ranking well in the SE's.

Hi Nick
Article marketing is excellent so long as

a) you pick your keywords properly
b) the link to your site from the article goes to somewhere so you can capture emails addresses etc

There are 2 step by step reports on how to do this in my private site (2nd sig link below)

Hick

If you say your website is new then I would add a majority of the articles to your site, and post one or two to the articles directories. A

dd the pages to your site 1 by 1 say after a day or two each to allow more spidering of your website by the SE"s. The extra pages will also help your site rank better.

Hi Nick,

It's always prerequisite, it seems, for most writers, to submit their articles to article directories, for several reasons:

1. The articles get as much exposure, and there's always a better chance that you get credited for it (as most readers see a cited article as more credible) - as long as you submit it in top directories such as ezinearticles.com, etc.

2. It doesn't hurt nor devalue your articles when it's duplicated to other sites; it just doesn't do anything to improve your ranking.

3. If you can reword your article a little bit (one that you submit to the directories may be slightly different than the one you publish in your website) there's a good chance that you're going to drive the same traffic without worrying that Google will see your content as duplicate.

Most websites would accept your article for link exchange but you have to go through their criteria, so you should first consider submitting for one way links via article directories.

- the best way is submit them to your web site
- after they are indexed by search engine you can submit them to different
15 articles directories
why 15?
every articles directories will be considered as a single IP which will help you to increase your quality backlinks
- after search engine are indexed these 15 web pages you can add them where you have any possibility.
- did not submit at the same time try to schedule that , that take time but if you think for long term purpose they will have a huge impact to your business.
- did not forget to submit this articles to forums
-try to get related blog with the same topic and comment blogs and ask people to read more your articles.

I dont think you should nurse any fear about submiting your articles to the various article sites. There are actually some of them that would change your details.sites like goarticles.com,ezine raticles.com,articlecity.com aand some will not.we can rule this article submission is still the surest way of getting traffic to your site. good luck
